Learners will use vocabulary for family to tell how many of each family term is in a family, how old each family member is, their name, likes and hobbies. Content includes vocabulary for personal pronouns, family terms and hobbies, the verbs 'to have' and 'to know how to' and grammar structure for questions/answers for all of these. Vocabulary and grammar will be presented in video form and accompanied with digital flashcards for practice along with checking for understanding quizzes. Listening, speaking and writing assignments are given after each lesson and feedback is provided for these.

Pre-Requisites
Learners should have some exposure to Mandarin Chinese before taking this class. Ideally students should already be able to: count to 99, say what their name is, know colors and animal terms, use the verbs 'to be' and 'to like'.
