BRING A LEARNER, get $5 off your next class!

In this class, your child will learn to draw an adorable cartoon tiger through directed drawing. After we have drawn Morty the Tiger, the class will be guided into writing a few sentences beneath the picture. This will be done in a way that is easy for ESL-learners to follow. My goal is to expand our learners writing ability through simple sentence structure and expand their conversational skills through community and tiger facts.

I will be present the whole time. The drawing portion will be teacher-led, while the writing and rendering portions will be student-directed.

Learners will be able to interact with me through the “raising hand” feature on Zoom when muted (during the directed drawing portion), out loud during the writing and rendering, and through a private chat all throughout the lesson. Interaction with other learners will be allowed and encouraged somewhat during the writing and completely during the rendering time.

    Students should be able to:
1. name and say the sound of all the letters of the alphabet.
2. understand basic English phrases ("How are you?" "Please mute." "Stop.").
3. write letters on lined paper.
4. follow simple instructions.

Learning Goals

Students will learn to draw Morty the Tiger and build their confidence in English conversation. They will also practice writing simple sentences in English.

Hi! I’m Ms. Abbey.
I teach kids to love art through animals, travel, and step-by-step instruction.

I truly believe art class is for EVERYONE, not just the natural artist. The scientist, nature-lover, athlete, wanna-be vet, and gamer can all find fun and a sense of accomplishment in art.

That’s why I’ve made my brand ARTventurous Animals.

My classes are engaging, full of animals and adventure, and uncomplicated 🎨

I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and have taught in a brick-and-mortar classroom for 4 years. But even after substituting, teaching 3rd grade, teaching Kindergarten, and teaching English in Thailand, being an online art teacher has been my favorite! I now have 3 years of online teaching experience.

I believe children should be guided to be their best self. This means creating extra tasks for gifted students, challenging the average, and reaching out and individually assisting the reluctant learners. I also believe that art is for everyone! Anyone can draw, anyone can create, anyone can imagine.

A fun fact about me is that I live in Bangkok, Thailand! I have also been to 18 countries on 3 different continents.

My husband and I have 2 wonderful little kids. They're the reason I’ve chosen to be an online teacher and stay-at-home mom.

My ARTventurous Animals brand has lots more than just classes! Check it out here--> https://artventurousanimals.com/
