Conversational English: One on One ESL Classes and Tutoring

Join me as we work to perfect your English skills!  Together we will improve your child's conversation skills, pronunciation, and grammar.  Each class will include both structured learning and free-talk opportunities.

Beginners:  Students will focus on letter sounds, numbers, and teacher-led conversations. We will use songs, pictures, and games.

Low-Intermediate:  Students will be able to answer and ask simple questions. We will read short stories together.

Intermediate: Students will increase their vocabulary and answer questions with greater detail. We will read articles together and discuss them. Students will work to achieve independent reading.

Advanced:  Students will articulate their opinions and read fluidly.

In our first, I will evaluate your student's strengths and weaknesses to find the correct curriculum for them.  I look forward to learning about your child!

Don't worry if you're a beginner!  I will patiently listen and give your child plenty of time to speak. Even if this is your first experience with English, we will use pictures and gestures to have a fun conversation!  If you are advanced, I am happy to help with homework and school projects.

Struggling with reading?  It isn't easy, is it?  In every class we will review phonics to ensure your student can read with ease.  Struggling with a grammar concept?  We will be sure to address these rules as well.  Listening is the most important part of learning another language.  I will speak clearly and slowly (when needed) to help improve your child improve their listening skills.

I teach through songs, stories, and activities. Your child will enjoy learning while building essential English skills. I correct mistakes in a helpful, gentle way. 

Does your child enjoy sports, drawing, animals, or music? We can incorporate these interests into the classroom—just let me know!  Each class will include time for "free talk".  It is important that each student can freely express themselves in English.
