Class Experience
In this course the students will learn to have basic conversations in Chinese. Conversation exchanges are between both student/teacher and student/student as a class. Class time is spent participating in implementation and enrichment activities and games to develop fluency and language retention. Second Language Acquisition and how the brain acquires languages differs by age. Having learned both Mandarin Chinese and Spanish fluently along with teaching these languages to my own children and to others, it has become my passion. I am certified in Instructional Design and Technology and I have an MA in Mandarin Chinese. I know what it's like being an English speaker learning Mandarin Chinese and I know what parts of learning the language are difficult and what methods work.
