This class is taught in Cantonese.
Please note there is a difference between spoken/conversational Cantonese and written Chinese, The focus of this Level Two course is conversational Cantonese. Learning Goals: -To grow interest in learning Cantonese -To enhance listening comprehension and basic words Week 1: Sketch a storyline -Family/extended family Week 2: Create your story blocks -Who, what, when, why, where; home Week 3: Design Escape Room Puzzles -Body relative direction; Dr. Wong's Chinese Alphabet System (part 1), basic math words Week 4: Build your escape room game -Stationary; zoo animals; Dr. Wong's Chinese Alphabet System (part 2) Week5: Making it digital -Intro to Chinese calligraphy; Dr. Wong's Chinese Alphabet System (part 3&4)
Level 1: Escape Room Adventure Level 2A: Escape Room Designer Level 2B: Chinese Mythological Story
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- NearPod
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Scissors may be used in some of these sessions, parental guidance is recommedned
