Class experience
Students do not need any experience or knowledge prior to this class. My teaching style for this course will be teaching basic phrases and vocabulary through images and gestures/ motions. Then students will get a chance to speak and respond to questions in Spanish so we can build friendships in the class through the language learned. Students will learn through repetition and connecting with me and other students. There will be slides and flashcards to show the images of different vocabulary...
I have experience living in Guatemala for two years in the last five years, where I speak Spanish with native speakers 24/7. I married a Guatemalan so I speak with him in both Spanish and English. My in-laws only speak Spanish as well. This has helped me get to know the accent in Spanish so I can help your learner develop this as well. Finally, I have taught English to native Spanish Speakers with the classes 90% in taught in Spanish.
