Join us as we make new friends and stay connected this summer!! This class is designed to provide a fun and positive space for kids to stay connected with peers and work on their social skills. Through engaging and interactive conversation topics, we'll focus on building reciprocal conversation skills and developing other important social skills, such as active listening, empathy, and relationship building. In our weekly sessions, we'll explore a variety of conversation topics, from our interests and hobbies to our favorite recipes and beyond. The goal of this class is to help students feel more comfortable and confident in social situations, both online and in-person. By practicing their communication skills in a supportive environment, students will gain valuable tools for building meaningful and fulfilling relationships with others. With small class sizes and personalized attention, each student will receive the individualized support they need to thrive. So come join us for a summer of fun, friendship, and conversation! The discussion portion of this course is student led. I moderate conversation and provide engaging topics as needed, but students are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas throughout class. This summer club is perfect for the child who is social and loves to connect with new friends as well as the child who finds it difficult to make connections. All students are welcome, and all students will be respected, valued, and heard.
