Learn the names and values of the penny, nickel, dime, and quarter as well as the one dollar, five dollar, ten dollar, and twenty dollar bill. 0-5 minutes: Introductions Share names Think of ways they'd want to spend $20.00 5-15 minutes: Coins Introduction to the four coins Complete a coloring worksheet Sing a song about the four coins 15-20 minutes: Bills Introduction to the four bills Complete a coloring worksheet Sort items by how much they might cost (~ $1, $5, $10, or $20) 20-30 minutes: Review and Games Play a review game --matching --bingo --drag and drop

Since then, I get to share my love for education with preservice teachers as an adjunct professor at the university level. Teaching Certificates include Elementary Education, Cross-Categorical Special Education, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Google Certified Level 1. My degrees include a Bachelors in Elementary Education/Special Education from Northwest Missouri State, a Masters in Teaching from Webster University, and a Specialist Degree in School Administration from Northwest Missouri State.

We believe that students learn through personal action. Though we frequently use standards to guide instruction, we work to make our classrooms student-centered. Our classes often feature games and investigative activities.
