Class Experience

In this course, students will explore various topics essential to personal finance. They will gain an understanding of how cognitive biases can influence financial decisions, learn the basics of banking, and explore the stock market and investment strategies. Students will also delve into the complexities of credit, loans, and debt management. As they progress, they will learn about major financial decisions like buying a car or a house, paying for college, and planning for their future careers.

The course is structured into eight units, each focusing on a different aspect of personal finance. Lessons will include a mix of lectures, video clips, discussions, and interactive activities such as games and case studies. Each week, students will cover two lessons, allowing them to absorb and apply the material effectively.

Students will have ample opportunities to interact with the instructor through class discussions, Q&A sessions, and personalized feedback on assignments. The teaching style is engaging and supportive, encouraging students to think critically about financial decisions and apply what they learn to real-world scenarios.
