US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
Put on your hard hat and your work boots and join me at the construction site! This ongoing class is perfect for students who love construction vehicles such as excavators, dump trucks, cranes, and bulldozers. Students will meet for this class once a week to learn about a new construction vehicle and letter/sound. Incorporating learning through a topic that students are interested in will help them be more engaged and therefore retain the concepts better. I love to make learning fun for my students and in this class, there will be many opportunities for students to participate. I encourage and welcome all learners in my classroom. This class is great for all young learners who are beginning to show interest in letters and sounds. This includes native English speakers as well as learners who speak English as a second language. Students do not need to have any prior knowledge to participate in this class as it is an introductory class. Through engaging activities, sharing and movement, students will have fun and learn at the same time! This is an ongoing class and I will rotate through the lessons. Once I have completed all of the lessons, I will start over again. These lessons do not need to be taken in order so students are welcome to join at any time! Students are welcome to complete the lessons again after completing all 8. Week 1 - Letter Ee, excavator Week 2 - Letter Bb, bulldozer Week 3 - Letter Dd, dump truck Week 4 - Letter Cc, crane Week 5 - Letter Rr, roller Week 6 - Letter Mm, mixer Week 7 - Letter Ll, loader Week 8 - Letter Gg, grader

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone! My name is Danielle. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Youth Development as well as a Bachelor of Education degree. I am a certified teacher qualified to teach Kindergarten-Grade 6. I also have additional specialized qualifications in Reading and Primary Education and have taken numerous professional development courses focusing on literacy and mathematics. I also have my TESOL certification for teaching English. I consider myself to be a continuous and lifelong learner and am committed to embracing the challenge of professional growth in order to provide your child with the best possible learning experiences.
Over the past 8 years, I have been a classroom teacher and have taught many grades. I currently teach Literacy, Math, and Science to Junior and Senior Kindergarten students. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember and it is truly my passion. I strive to create innovative classes that keep my students engaged while learning at the same time. For the past 3 years, I have also been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to students through an online platform. I have taught thousands of ESL classes in person and online. I have taught English to students from all over the world including China, Peru, Mongolia, South Korea, Malaysia, Brazil, and Japan. It can be difficult for young children to learn through a computer screen, however, this experience has strengthened my ability to be an engaging teacher even while teaching virtually. I keep my students engaged by utilizing technology, incorporating movement when possible, making the content relatable, and learning through hands-on experiences.
I am a mother to a 3.5-year-old boy and an almost 1-year-old girl. As a parent, I know how important it is to feel informed when it comes to your child’s education. For this reason, I make open communication with parents and guardians a priority. Please feel comfortable contacting me, through the Outschool platform, if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning experience in my classes. I am passionate about embracing my students’ eagerness to learn and to enhance their growth as individuals. I encourage and welcome all learners in my classroom and would love to teach, have fun and learn with your child!
