This course does not have any live meetings, course information will be delivered through the use of video presentations that learners will use to learn. At the end of class, students will label the parts of a paragraph.Week 2Lesson 2Brainstorming Using an OrganizerIn this lesson, students will learn how to brainstorm and use their best ideas to logically organize their ideas before writing.Week 3Lesson 3Constructing a ParagraphIn this lesson, students will write a well-developed paragraph that contains: 1. One controlling idea 2. Sentences clearly related to topic sentence 3. Logical order 4. Thoroughly developed examples/evidence 5. Closing sentenceWeek 4Lesson 4Revision and EditingIn this lesson, students will learn how to revise (make work better) and edit (make work correct) and submit a final copy of their paragraphs for feedback.

Students will examine a model text to understand how to write a paragraph. Students will write a topic sentence. Students will use supporting details in a paragraph. Students will end a paragraph with a closing sentence. Students will be able to construct a well-developed paragraph. Students will use all steps of the writing process.
