What's included
4 live meetings
3 in-class hoursClass Experience
Students will create a simple circuit with a light, a switch, and a battery in this class. Students will learn about electricity and electronics and how they relate to each other. They will learn how electricity in your home works and how switches control the electricity to the lights. Students will learn about conductors, insulators, parallel and series circuits, and open and closed circuits. Next, students will build a simple electric circuit using a breadboard. They will learn about resistors, LEDs, NO, and SPDT switches. Finally, students will review the engineering design methodology as they build various circuits.
Learning Goals
• Understand Electricity and Basic Electronics.
• Understand grids.
• Understand how LEDs, circuits, and switches work.
