To celebrate the USA's Constitution Day, this class will take a closer look at the three parts of the US Constitution and some trivia relating to the document.

Class experience

US Grade 6 - 9
Students will be able to identify the three parts of the US Constitution and their purposes through reading excerpts of the document and group discussion.
Students will understand what an amendment is, the Bill of Rights, and explore how the US Constitution has grown to include people who were originally excluded in the time period it was written. 
Students will learn facts about the signers of the US Constitution and the original document during a game of Kahoot.

An online game of Kahoot will provide a fun way to review information as well as discuss new facts.
Grades Offered
Learners will need to access a copy of the US Constitution. A website link is provided as an option to view the document. Learners will also need to access the website for the Kahoot review game. 
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Time period content contains information on minority groups who were denied equal freedoms.
We will refer to the US Constitution throughout the class.
