US Grade 6 - 9
Constitution Day in the United States is September 17th. Join me as we look at the three different parts of this document. We'll understand the goals of the Preamble, the topics of the articles and how amendments have changed the US Constitution since 1787. After looking at the document, we'll spend our time together learning Constitutional facts and trivia followed by a game of Kahoot. Together, let's grow our minds just like the US Constitution has grown with a changing, developing and diverse nation.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify the three parts of the US Constitution and their purposes through reading excerpts of the document and group discussion.
Students will understand what an amendment is, the Bill of Rights, and explore how the US Constitution has grown to include people who were originally excluded in the time period it was written.
Students will learn facts about the signers of the US Constitution and the original document during a game of Kahoot.
