US Grade 7 - 9
In this one-day class, students will learn the structure of a chemical formula and the principle of the Conservation of Mass. Additionally, students will learn and practice balancing chemical equations. Prior Chemistry knowledge is not necessary as I will teach a step-by-step process for balancing equations. If students have had a Chemistry class, but just want extra help and practice with balancing equations, I can answer their questions and make the process easier to understand. The class will be interactive with students working through problems on worksheets and actively discussing and asking questions. Additional problems will be given if students want more practice.
Learning Goals
Students will understand the principle of Conservation of Mass and be able to follow this principle by balancing chemical equations.
