Description
Class Experience
Students will learn to identify and manage their test anxiety by thoroughly understanding how and what to study for their personal exam, whether it is a school subject test or a standardized exam. We will discuss studying strategies and test-taking tactics to minimize anxiety throughout the process. Students will learn HOW to study effectively, using a multitude of techniques I've used in my 8 years of tutoring and teaching experience, such as kinesthetic learning, synaesthesia, mini-meditation, and breath control.
I have 8 years of tutoring experience, specifically in Math and English. I work primarily as an SAT/ACT tutor so I love helping students maximize their confidence on test day.
I will help students find applicable review material and I will provide instruction on how to take them to maximize their efficacy after this course.
I encourage students to bring any and all study materials for upcoming tests so we can find the best way to use them. For calculator active tests, please bring the calculator you will use on test day.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
