She has homeschooled her children from kindergarten through high school and has seen the benefit of teaching this explicit manner of spelling to her own children, specifically the help it gives to struggling spellers and readers. Her experience also includes tutoring English Language Arts to 2nd – 6th graders, as well as and teaching other topics & leading various groups for children in pre-K through 9th grade.
Homework is posted each week. Learners are encouraged to complete as many homework activities as needed to fully grasp that week's spelling pattern. One homework assignment will be an audio file with 8 dictated sentences. A Word List will also be provided each week with suggested multi-sensory activities to do to enable the learner to interact with and master the words covered in class.
