US Grade Kindergarten - 2
This class is for 1st graders but also great for Kindergarteners who need a challenge or 2nd graders who need to review 1st-grade skills. Conquering 1st grade math should be fun and interactive and not boring and frustrating. Each week students will watch a video that explains that weeks lesson. Students will then complete an interactive worksheet that help them succeed with cut and paste method (see advantages below). After students complete their activity sheets they will be able to view a video explaining each problem and the answers. To make assessing the students progress fun and interactive there will be a game each week. Grades/scores can be sent to parents every week from the assessment upon request. Students should feel free to message me anytime with any questions on the videos, activity sheets or the game. Through each positive and interactive lesson, students will be one more step to conquering 1st grade math. Cut and paste math activities are a great way to mix up the ordinary math practice. These activities go beyond just pencil and paper but bring kinesthetic learning into a math lesson. When students are cutting and pasting, it helps students focus and brings a fun activity to the math lesson. *Benefits of Cut and Paste Math* -Students will have to correct their work if they make a mistake to paste the correct answer. -Gives struggling students the confidence to find the correct answers -Slows students down who may rush on their work by giving them more than just writing the answers down -Engages students more than a traditional worksheet

Mississippi Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hey there! I'm excited to share that I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and spent a wonderful 10 years teaching in a public school. I had the pleasure of teaching 6th grade for 5 years and then taught in a 3rd grade classroom for the last 5 years. In my classes, I used small groups and tailored instruction to meet the diverse needs of my students.
I'm really passionate about encouraging reading for fun and for learning. I truly believe that when students have a solid foundation in reading, learning becomes a whole lot easier. And you know what? Math has now become my new favorite subject to teach! I love coming up with different ways to help struggling learners and to challenge those who are stronger in math. I firmly believe that by making math and reading enjoyable, we can inspire a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
On top of that, I'm also incredibly fortunate to be able to stay at home with my amazing 5-year-old triplets every day. They are an absolute joy!
