What's included
4 live meetings
1 hrs 40 mins in-class hoursHomework
1 hour per week. This course includes this optional, but highly encouraged weekly homework: 1. Written worksheet(s) 2. A brief passage to practice reading in Spanish (which uses the verb types we are working on) along with a recording of me reading it. 3. Kahoot quizClass Experience
Come conjugate Spanish verbs in the context of fun sentences and silly stories in this live four-week course with optional but highly encouraged follow-up homework! This class is designed for learners who have some background in Spanish, which can motivate them to improve verb conjugation skills with the aim of growing in conversation ability. Please note that while we will strive to use Spanish as much as possible in class meetings, this is not a full Spanish immersion course as some English explanations will be used to aid in understanding of the material. This course assumes some knowledge of personal subject pronouns and how they relate to verb conjugations. For those who do not have any previous practice with personal subject pronouns, I recommend first taking my course "¡Conjuguemos! Part 1" (live and flex versions available). Week 1 - UE stem-changing verb conjugations Week 2 - IE stem-changing verb conjugations Week 3 - I stem-changing verb conjugations Week 4 - Review and further practice Each week includes: A. Twenty-five-minute live lesson. (If you need to miss a week or need to review, a pre-recorded version of the lesson of each lesson will also be available. Pre-recorded lessons err on the side of using more English to make sure all learners can follow along.) This is our basic class plan for each meeting: 1. Learn the rules for the target kind of verb, 2. Fill in the blanks in the context of sentences and/or stories together using the correct pronoun or conjugation, and 3. Finish with a game to further practice and review the target kind of verb. B. PLUS optional, but highly encouraged homework: 1. Written worksheet(s) 2. A brief passage to practice reading in Spanish (which uses the verb types we are working on) along with a recording of me reading it. (The first week the reading is the same as the worksheet.) 3. Kahoot quiz I also provide weekly class notes for learners to reference in their work. Learners are encouraged to submit their written worksheets and/or recordings of their readings for feedback. The stories and sentences from the lessons, readings, and worksheets are written by me, the instructor.
