A camp to learn about conic sections, a unique topic in upper-level high school math.

US Grade 9 - 12
This class is for students who would like to learn about the four conic sections--the four mathematical sections that can be formed by taking a slice of a cone. These are circles, ellipses, hyperbolas, and parabolas. This topic is typically covered in Advanced Algebra 2 or Pre-Calculus. To take this course a student must have already completed Algebra 1 and Geometry. During each class session we will explore the standard equation for each conic section as well as how to graph them. ...
