This class will help your learner differentiate the difference of verbal and non-verbal communication and how it can lead to passive-aggressiveness. The majority of conflicts arise from miscommunication. Learners will walk away with the tools they need to solve and overcome situations encountered at this age. We will work on finding solutions to problems by sharing their feelings and listening to how the other person feels. The class size will be kept small to allow each learner the opportunity to bring up any scenarios that they would like assistance with. Learners will learn about the following topics using slides and real life scenarios: -The Value of actively listening, repeating issue for clarity and working together towards a resolution -Being Mindful and self-aware of past experiences that may become a trigger to certain scenarios -Importance of tone of voice and body language My teaching style is to combine visual aids and hands on activities to attend to the different learning abilities of all those in the class. There is no background needed for this class. Please contact me with any questions about the course or scheduling options. This is an inclusive class in which students of all abilities are welcome. If a student is unable to communicate verbally they are welcome to use the chat. If your student has any other needs that require accommodations please let me know and we will work develop a way for your learner to participate in a way that they are able.
