Confident Readers
In this 6 week course, we will begin building a foundation for reading. We will have hands on learning and games to help make learning fun.

Beginner Level
The learner must be familiar with all 26 letters of the alphabet and be able to identify their sounds. We will work on mastery of short vowel sounds. We will not follow a specific curriculum. This class will be specifically designed for skill mastery. If we need to slow down a week and review we can always do that if it meets the best interest of the learner. Our goals and standards are listed below. Small group setting with student and tutor 1 new skill each week beginning with cvc words hands on activities student participation required

Learning Needs
I have experience working with kids that struggle with dyslexia, ADHD, and trauma. This is a safe learning environment where students may learn in a small group setting. I recommend parents sit with children if they have any concerns.
Pre-Requisites
Students must be able to identify 26 letters of the alphabet and their sounds.
Supply List
You must have a working printer and stapler to print out the readers each week. You will also need 3 colors of play- doh and a pop it.
