Click here for details: https://outschool.com/classes/confident-algebra-1-personalized-support-for-struggling-learners-1st-quarter-25lngvMe?refuid=83g7UbAV 🌟Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays - office hours with Mrs. Kennedy I'll use the same techniques we use in our Course, tailored to the questions that the learners ask during our sessions together. 🎯These are 30 minute bonus, small group "study hall" type sessions that you'll sign up for after enrolling in the full Confident Algebra 1 course with me. ✅Learners can come in and out of the 30 minutes on their own; if they just have one question, they may leave after we've talked about it. 📝Learners might choose to just work on their assignment during this time, knowing they can ask me a question if something comes up. 📌Learners can absolutely bring their questions to these sessions. Example of what to ask: "I'm stuck on #3 from the homework. Here's what I have so far...." Example of what NOT to ask: "Will you do #3 on the homework?" 💲I'll send you a code to enroll at no additional cost. ⌚These sessions are optional--your learner is not required to attend--but they are available to attend any time that your learner needs help with the assigned work or understanding the skills for the week. Of course, weeks will match whatever week we are on in the Algebra course. Here's the order of the curriculum, as shown in your syllabus. Week 1: Solving Equations 9/3 Week 2: Equations & Functions 9/10 Week 3: Functions 9/17 Week 4: Review 9/24 Weeks 5-7: Linear Functions 10/1, 10/8, 10/15 Week 8: Review 10/22 Week 9: Systems 11/5 Weeks 10-11: Inequalities 11/12, 11/19 Week 12: Review 12/3 Weeks 13-15: Polynomials 12/10, 12/17, 1/7 Week 16: Review 1/14 Week 17: Semester 1 Review 1/21 Weeks 18-20: Solving Quadratics 1/28, 2/4, 2/11 Week 21: Review 2/18 Weeks 22-23: Graphing Quadratics 2/25, 3/3 Week 24: Review 3/10 Week 25-26: Exponential Functions 3/17, 3/24 Week 27: Comparing Functions 3/31 Week 28: Review 4/7 Week 29: Sequences 4/21 Week 30: Data 4/28 Week 31: Review 5/5 Week 32: Semester 2 Review 5/12

Teacher expertise and credentials
Georgia Teaching Certificate in Mathematics
Is your learner failing math?
Does your teen say things like…
I can’t do math!
I’ll never get this.
I’m going to fail this math class!
I’m so dumb.
Well, you’re in the right place.
HI! I’m Mary Kennedy, certified math teacher, and I love working with students who struggle with high school math and doubt that they can do it.
I've taught Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 and have more than 20 years of teaching experience. My Master's degree is in Learning Disabilities.
In my classes, students connect their learning to critical thinking skills (includes reasoning, analysis, and perseverance) and growth mindset (“I haven’t learned this YET.”).
I strive to make the math concepts accessible to struggling learners.
Help your teen regain confidence and learn the skills they need to pass Algebra.
Don’t let math continue to disrupt your family’s life.
About Mrs. K.
I do life in a tiny tourist town with my husband and three kids (when they're home from college).
Twice, my family has had the unique and wonderful experience of hosting students from Southeast Asia in our home and community. We have maintained friendships with these students and their families for several years now through technology, despite our geographic distance.
I love working with students from every country and encourage their language skills in my math classes.
