Conexión Creativa: A Spanish Studio Time...Language and Art!

What will be taught? This class is designed to be a social space for spanish speaking art and crafting enthusiasts to connect. You do not need to be an artist. 
⭐You only need to love experimenting and exploring different art and crafting mediums. 
⭐This is a Spanish maintenance class. Maestra Zia will help learners if they struggle to express themselves in the target language but it is not designed for learning Spanish. Students should be bilingual.

What topics will you cover?
Topics will vary by week and will depend on student interests. Learners will bring their own project to work on. This will be chosen by the student and not assigned by the teacher. If the learner is having trouble finding one, Mrs. Zia y more than happy to share ideas from her personal inventory. Learners can suggest projects to each other in the classroom as well and they are encourage to share pictures of the final their products. 

How is your class structured?
This class will have open dialogue centered around the particular art projects everyone is working on that week. Students are welcome to share goals, processes, materials, final products and ask each other for opinions among other things. If conversation dwindles, Maestra Zia will engage students with questions or in easy games in order to encourage dialogue. 

How will you teach?
The teacher will supervise conversations to make sure they are appropriate ones to have on the platform. She will also provide ideas on topics to be discussed when needed. This class allows students to engage in constant dialogue as they work on their projects of choice. 

What's your teaching style?
I am an encourager by nature. I love to motivate students by identifying their strengths and making them aware of all they can do. 

How much will learners get to interact with you and each other? This is a social class. Students are encouraged to interact throughout the meeting time. 

Any required experience or knowledge learners need? No, no experience is needed. You don't need to be a great artist to be in this group. You only need a disposition to converse with others and be willing to explore different art projects or crafting activities.
