Class Experience

In this ongoing class, students will complete exercises that focus on conditioning, strengthening, or flexibility/stretching (see the schedule below to see what the focus for each week will consist of).
This class is designed for students that have at least 3 years of experience in dance (or similar sport such as gymnastics or acro) and are familiar with different exercises for strengthening, conditioning, and stretching. This class will help students to improve flexibility and strength which is important to prevent injury when completing their sport.

In each class I will provide clear instruction on how to complete each step and then students will complete each exercise safely and properly. Students mics will be off during class, but if students have questions they are encouraged to unmute and ask any questions.
This class will begin with a quick warmup/stretch (but it is recommended that students come to class warm/stretched already). After a warm-up students will start with completing the different exercises. Class will end with a cool down/final stretch
Appropriate Attire: Students should be dressed in comfortable athletic clothes such as leggings and t-shirt. Please no sports bra/crop top. It is also recommended and highly suggested that students have sneakers/tennis shoes on for support.
Students can join this class at any time. This class will have a main focus each class. Some of the weeks will repeat in a focus so that students can continue to practice those exercises and will include new and old exercises but current and new students will be able to join without being behind.

Weekly Schedule/Focus:
-Week of 4/5: Core workout (Recommended that students use a exercise/yoga mat)
-Week of 4/12: Core workout (Recommended that students use a exercise/yoga mat)
-Week of 4/19: Leg Strength
-Week of 4/19: Leg Strength

-Week of 4/26: Ankle Strength (Students will need a theraband, small towel, and small tennis ball)

-Week of 5/3: Arm Strength (Recommended that students use a exercise/yoga mat)
-Week of 5/24: Stretch/Flexibility

So that students can hear the instructions given clearly and efficiently, I will not be playing music during this class. Students are welcome to have their own music playing as long as they can hear me clearly as well so that they complete each exercise safely.
