This is a one time course that will increase students understanding of cybersecurity, and teaches them more skills and techniques to use in online CTF competitions. This is a Level 2 class, and students should have taken Level 1.

Class Experience
In this Level 2 class students will learn: Binary, Hexadecimal, Base64, and ASCII systems encoding/decoding of data reading/editing of cookies "experience" a vulnerable webpage Personal Privacy Concerns when posting images online Steganography (hiding messages inside files)
I am a software engineer with over 20 years experience in a University setting. I have a Bachelors in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics from UCLA and a Masters of Computer Science from Georgia Tech. I love sharing my knowledge with students.
Students will need either a desktop or laptop. Students will need to have Google Chrome as their web browser. A tablet may not work for this course.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
