!!*** Please note that this course will only BEGIN once it reaches a minimum of 2 learners. The reason why it's set as 1-4 learners is for parents to see how many learners have enrolled in order to decide if they want to enrol their child/children or not. If only 1 learner has joined and the start date has passed, it will be extended until the next following week until...
This class is taught in English.
Through this Chess course, students will learn the basic and fundamentals of Chess outlined in the class description.
I have been playing Chess for a few years now and improving at a good pace. I have a blitz rating (3/5 minute games) of 1300 (solid intermdiate player) which suggests that I have a really good basic and fundamental understanding of how to play Chess. This course teaches advanced concepts of Chess which I believe my rating is high enough to teach those concepts. Lastly, I'm a professional high school teacher that understands what 'good teaching' comprises of, and thus I structure lessons according to what best suits the learner's needs. Furthermore, I have also previously hosted and organised Chess classes/activites during after school activities which have proven to be a success!
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
