Description
Class Experience
Students will learn new reading strategies to become successful at comprehending non-fiction texts.
As a certified reading specialist, I have worked with a diverse group of learners. In my experience, the students that are intentional during their reading are the most successful. Building those essential skills and knowing when to use them helps readers become more self-aware of their learning. Do I understand what I just read? What strategy can I pull from to help me understand? Practice, practice, practice of these skills builds a better reader.
Pencil Paper Printables (provided upon enrollment)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
