Description
Class Experience
In this course learners will be introduced to composers and music of the Baroque period including Pachelbel, Couperin, Vivaldi, Bach, Scarlatti, and Handel. Each week a link will be posted in the classroom directing learners to a Nearpod lesson. The Nearpod lesson will include biographical information, music, videos and activities to facilitate learning. Activities will include both online and printable activity sheets. The learner may choose which printable activities to complete. The first...
The learner will describe and identify music of the Baroque period. National Music Standard *MU:Re9.1.8a Apply appropriate personally-developed criteria to evaluate musical works or performances.
Each week learners will be asked to respond to a questions in the Nearpod lesson. There will be additional pencil/paper activities available.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Learners will receive feedback through the online activities and through optional uploaded activities. If you would like a grade report, please request during the first week of class.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Every part of the lesson will be embedded in Nearpod. Learners do not have to have accounts to participate.
