Let's dive into music of the ages and learn about some awesome Music Composers! Composer Chats give students a chance to geek out over music history, theory, and composition. The class is like a book study on various Composers and Musical periods, starting with the medieval period of music. In each class, we will host a live discussion of the composer's life, some of their work, and listening to a sampling of their music. No musical experience or knowledge needed! Learners will be given a sample of a variety of composers lives and their works in this class.
Zach Seckman has been teaching music since 2011. Throughout his career, Zach has taught 300+ students on Piano, Ukulele, Drums and Percussion, Voice, and Guitar. After receiving his Bachelor of Music Education from Kansas State, he set-up shop and started his own private teaching studio. Seckman currently teaches both in-person and online music classes and lessons in his school in Kansas. Aside from teaching, Zach also writes music for solos, ensembles, and has published methods for Music Theory, Piano, and Percussion.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be given a PDF printable of information and a worksheet the can fill out while we cover information and songs during the class.
