Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will add to their early understanding that fictional characters, like humans, are truly multi-dimensional. They work through difficult phases, make mistakes, have bad days and feel great, big emotions -- quite like us. Here, the students will be encouraged to share their opinions on these fictional characters and also understand that it is OKAY to 'meet' characters inside our literature adventures who we may not even like a whole lot sometimes!

Vocabulary such as 'complex' and 'redeeming' will be used and explained during the course as well.
-- Students will need to read and become familiar with 'Roses Are Pink, Your Feet Really Stink' by Diane DeGroat
-- Please print out ***Complex Character Agreement/ Disagreement (posted in the Classroom tab before the beginning of each section)!
Please provide your child with:
--***Complex Character Agreement/ Disagreement activity print out
-- one sharpened pencil with an eraser
-- colored pencils/ crayons/ markers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
