Complete Job Search Bootcamp With a Former Recruiter!

This is a 4-week (2x/week) course that teaches resume writing, networking, and interview skills. With engaging activities and hands-on practice, teens gain the confidence and knowledge to land their first job and build their personal brand.

Lesson 1
Dream Big and Set Goals
Discover what makes you tick and set some awesome (S.M.A.R.T) career goals. We'll help you create a game plan to turn your passions into job opportunities.
Lesson 2
Building Your Rockstar Resume & Cover Letter
Learn the nuts and bolts of a resume and explore different styles to see what fits you best. We'll break down how to highlight your awesomeness on paper. You'll craft your own resume and cover letter, learning to showcase your skills and experiences like a pro. Also - find out WHEN to use a cover letter. Hint: you don't need it 98% of the time. :)

Developing Your Personal and Professional Brand
Uncover what makes you unique and how to present that to the world. We’ll help you define your personal and professional brand, focusing on your strengths and passions. Learn how to create a consistent and compelling online presence. We’ll cover tips for social media profiles, personal websites, and professional platforms like LinkedIn.
Lesson 4
Networking for Success
Learn why networking is crucial and how it can open doors to job opportunities. We'll discuss different types of networks and how to build and maintain them. Get practical tips on how to introduce yourself, start conversations, and build meaningful connections. We'll role-play networking scenarios and explore how to leverage social media for networking.

Lesson 5
Job Hunt Strategies
Discover the best places to find job openings, from online boards to local hotspots. Learn how to use all your resources to uncover hidden job gems. Nail those job applications with accuracy and flair. We’ll also cover how to keep track and follow up like a pro.
Lesson 6
Interview Etiquette
Get the lowdown on different types of interviews and what to expect. We’ll prep you for phone, virtual, and in-person meetings, plus solo and group scenarios. Learn how to make a great first impression with your attire, punctuality, and body language. Communication tips will help you nail every interview.

Lesson 7
Nailing the Interview & Follow Up
Practice answering common interview questions with confidence. We’ll teach you the STAR method to make your answers shine. Master the art of writing thank-you notes and follow-up emails. We’ll teach you the perfect timing and tone to keep you top of mind.
Lesson 8
Decoding Job Offers
Learn how to understand and evaluate job offers and benefits. We'll help you make smart decisions about which offers to accept based on your short- and long-term goals.

Week 3: ✅Students will discover effective methods for finding job openings. ✅Students will learn how to apply for jobs accurately and follow up effectively. ✅Students will understand different types of interviews and what to expect. ✅Students will learn how to make a positive first impression through attire, punctuality, and body language. Week 4: ✅Students will practice answering common interview questions using the STAR method. ✅Students will learn how to write thank-you notes and follow-up emails. ✅Students will understand how to evaluate job offers and benefits.
Homework Offered
Each week students will be asked to put theory learned into practice. An example of an assignment is drafting their resume. They'll upload their assignments onto Google Drive where I'll provide feedback.
