I have a Masters degree in Education from the University of South Florida. I have been working with students for decades. I have had experience teaching in the classroom from pre-school to high school. The majority of my classroom experience was spent in 2nd and 3rd grades. I have my ESOL certificate and have taught English to non-English speakers on line for several years. I teach reading, writing, language arts, social skills, public speaking classes, and ESL on line as well. I am a passionate, energetic educator that loves to inspire students to confidence, growth, and mastery.
Homework Offered
Students write at different levels and paces at the this age. To ensure no student falls behind in the lessons, they may occasionally be assigned to finish a writing project started in class at home. My goal is to help each student improve upon their own current writing abilities with support.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
Notebooks with lined paper (Bound or loose paper is okay) Pencils with erasers Worksheets pertinent to each class which will be linked in the classroom before each class Any additional materials needed to complete certain worksheets (like scissors or glue) A folder or binder to keep all all of their completed work in. A good attitude
Students do not need to access any other resources during this course. I will show a slide show by sharing my screen. One of the worksheets requires the use of scissors. Please be prepared to supervise or assist during this activity as needed. It is highly recommended that students print out all worksheets designed and provided for this course. Worksheets will be posted to the classroom the day before they will be used in class. Each student will be encouraged to engage with both the teacher and fellow students during this class. I create a safe, welcoming environment where students are encouraged to share appropriate ideas and questions. All students will be expected to treat each other with kindness and respect, or risk being removed from the class.
