The example pictured is acrylics on mixed media paper. Alternative materials are welcome (use what you have on hand if you are unable to shop). Students are encouraged to create any subject matter they choose or use my tiger template. This class isn’t about drawing but about color play and careful painting (staying in the lines). However, students confident in drawing will be supported. We will utilize the class web page were there will be additional resources, a place to post questions between classes, and upload images of your work to share with the rest of class. Before class begins students will have access to pre-instructional content: Materials list, care and use of materials, and vocabulary.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about Pop-Art, complementary colors, painting with smooth brush stroke, and using a template to create multiple works of art with a single subject matter.

Estimated Cost $1.00-$3.00 Each Item Tablecloth or large paper to protect workspace Small Paper Plates to use as pallets or a pallet if you already have one Copy Paper Pencil Paper Towel Baby Wipes Mixed Media Paper or Heavy Weight Drawing Paper ($TBD) Copy paper is not ideal but use it if that is what you have Paint Brush Caddy (Optional and prices run anywhere from $20-$35) Paint brushes Acrylic Paint Colors (use what you have and/or able to find). I enjoy the Pop-Art movement and realize with today’s technology today this work can be created with a click-click print technique. However, I find taking the time to paint with this detail is valuable for developing skills that lead to a deeper appreciation for painting.Reviews
