Class Experience
Students will learn to use compensation to subtract two 2 digit numbers mentally. The concept will be introduced using manipulatives and a number line first to demonstrate the concept of compensation. Compensation is making numbers easier to work with for the purpose of solving equations mentally. It is a skill that benefits learners for real life math. Paper and pencil or whiteboard and marker
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
