Class Experience

I generally allow my learners to keep their cameras off but in this class because it is a public speaking class, cameras being on at certain times such as when speeches or other speaking activities are occurring cameras will be strongly encouraged as that is part of becoming comfortable with giving presentations.

* Because this is a one on one class, I will offer the learner the opportunity at the end to participate in a one time class with other learners to present their speech again in front of other people besides me. If they do not want to do that, I am okay with them just doing it for me and then I will offer feedback.

Parental Guidance
No concerns with content. If a learner brings up content that is disturbing to other learners then I will make sure to intervene and will let the parents know if necessary. In all of my classes I let the learners know up front that if any of the topics make them uncomfortable, they are welcome to leave the class and I will schedule a make-up with them to cover another topic of interest to them. I have never had a problem with this as the learners know that I am sensitive to their needs and they generally feel free to talk to me if they are uncomfortable.
