Description

Class Experience

Navigating conflict can be stressful and challenging! In this four week course, students will learn various communication strategies to resolve conflict. Learners will have the opportunity to develop and practice skills in a safe, supportive classroom enviroment. This course is open to all students, and my classrooms are always a welcome space for disabled/neurodiverse students/gifted & 2e/unique learners.

Week 1: 
Assertive Communication with "I Statements"

In this class, students will...

I am a certified school social worker and educator with over 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents. Although I am a social worker, this class is not intended to provide mental health diagnosis or treatment and does not constitute a therapist/client relationship. All information in this class is for educational purposes only, and it is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

This class is designed to develop communication strategies to resolve conflict. This class is a welcoming space for disabled/neurodiverse/gifted & 2e/unique learners. Parents are encouraged to review the course description to determine if this class is appropriate for their child, and parental supervision (off-camera) is encouraged.
