Do I put a comma here or there?  Maybe it should be a semicolon and not a comma? Sound familiar?  It does to me. I've read many papers written by students who do not understand when or when not to use commas and semicolons.  My thinking is if they had learned that in middle or high school, then they won't have the problem when writing college-level papers.

In this class, we will cover where and when to use commas and semicolons correctly in sentences. We will go over the rules and see examples of how to use commas and semicolons.

Then you have the opportunity to test your skills with the concepts you learned to solidify your understanding.

Right now is the time to learn and clarify the usage of commas and semicolons; otherwise, it may perpetuate incorrectly in your writing in the future.
