Learners will dive deep into the world of comic book creation and explore the process of crafting a story, developing characters, and creating compelling illustrations.

We will begin the class with a quick tutorial on the basics of comic book creation, followed by a discussion of some inspiring examples of comics. Students will have the option of hand-drawing their comics or using Canva, a free program, to assist them in creating their comic book.

Throughout the course, students will be taught how to write a story, explore different methods of making comics, develop their own signature style, and select the best layout and book-making tool for their project, whether digital or paper.

In addition, we will explore the techniques for creating illustrations that bring your story to life, including drawing, coloring, and lettering. Finally, we will continue to work on our comics, making any necessary adjustments or revisions, with the option to share our work with the class.

This course is perfect for anyone who loves storytelling, drawing, and wants to learn the techniques and skills required to create a graphic novel.
