Beginner Level

Greetings comic writers! Do you love making your own comics? Do you want to start making your own comics? Do you have some unfinished comics laying around that you would like to finish? Would you like to hear other kids’s comics and share your comics with others? Come and join Teacher Tammy as we create or own comics in this ongoing class! Students can join for a day or have the benefit of meeting every week to build their comic book creation skills! Every week we will begin with student introductions and new student welcomes! Then, we will do a quick get to know you question like, what is your favorite comic book?  After introductions and questions, students will each have a few minutes to share either what they are working on or a new idea for a new comic! Students may ask each other and Teacher Tammy for writing and drawing advice! Have fun sharing stories and completing comics every week! Comic book creation can be your new super power!

Build writing, drawing and comic book creation skills.

This is a conversation based class, we build skills but also share our love of comic books and stories.

Parental Guidance

Comic books are a form of speech, students may have different levels of appropriate violence and subject age level.

Supply List

Paper, pencil, coloring materials, comic books.

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I love teaching music, math, creative writing and art! I am a licensed k-12 music teacher but have many hobbies and interests. I have taught elementary music for fourteen years! I have a masters degree in education and a bachelors of music education. I have also taught English Language Learning online to Chinese speakers and have tutored students in many different disciplines. I think learning should be fun, relevant and geared to every learner. I love bringing out the creative side in your student! I have a twin sister and two young boys!
