Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this class students will learn the basics of improv including how to come up with creative ideas on the spot, and how to engage with classmates in creating scenes and characters. The class will be structured with warmups first, in order for students to get used to improvising in small ways, and then it will build into games where we will create full fledged scenes, stories, and characters. My teaching style is very interactive with opportunities for students to lead as well as follow, and my teaching philosophy is to spark joy in my students and make the classroom a playful and fun environment.
Learning Goals
To learn confidence in presenting their ideas and characters to the class.
To learn self-expression through storytelling and character creation.
