Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!! I am currently a Kindergarten teacher and I absolutely love teaching and helping students learn new and exciting things. In my classroom, I teach math, language arts, science, social science, and many other things. Something that I really love to incorporate into my teaching is American Sign Language. It's a beautiful language that is expressive and fun to learn. My students truly enjoy signing.

I want to tell you a little bit about my professional background. I attended Berkely City College and that is were my Sign Language journey began. After I went to Laney College, I graduated and transferred to Cal State University: East Bay. While studying at Cal. State East Bay, I worked for Berkeley Unified as an interpreter for the deaf. Later, I graduated from East Bay and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in American Sign Language. After, I attended the Teachers For Tomorrow program at Mills College. That's when my teaching experience in the classroom began and I've been teaching for fifteen years now.

I believe learning should be fun, engaging, and interactive. It should take place in a positive and safe space where students can thrive and excel academically. My goal is to create that positive space for my students to have a fun learning experience. I'm so excited to get started. See you soon!
