Class Experience

Big B, little b, what begins with b?

In this ongoing class, I will introduce your learner to a letter of the alphabet by showing them how the letter is shaped and describing the letter's sound. We will then have a letter hunt where we search for the letter of the day inside a picture book. After we've finished our hunt, I will read the book. Once we have finished exploring the story, we will use our imaginations to design a silly bird using randomly chosen shapes...

Students will practice recognizing letter sounds, and letters and words on the page. They will practice social skills, such as listening and taking turns, while visiting with a bird.

Coloring pages will be provided as downloadable PDFs
Learners will need to provide their own crayons, colored pencils, or markers

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
