US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
Students will learn and practice colors and counting by listening to the storybook "Dog's Colorful Day: A Messy Story about Colors and Counting." Throughout the story, children will be given multiple opportunities to identify colors and count, both as a group and individually. As we read the story, children will participate in a scavenger hunt throughout their home searching for specific items of each color. Students will be encouraged to show and tell about their findings. In the end, we will complete a craft project together. The activity sheets are available for download upon enrollment. For younger learners, or those needing help with scissors, there is an option that doesn't require cutting.
Learning Goals
Students will practice and improve their ability to identify colors in their environment and count from 1-10.

Hello! My name is Veronica Rojas and I am excited to meet you! I have had the pleasure of working with children since my early teen years. I have taught gymnastics, music, ESL, Spanish, and elementary/middle/high school grades). I have homeschooled my children for the past 15 years and have also been an online teacher for the past five years. I am a loving and patient educator who believes learning should be FUN! I encourage participation and lots of questions in all of my classes. When I am not teaching, I absolutely love spending time with my husband and children. We have two special needs children (Cerebral Palsy and Autism Spectrum Disorder) and a typical child that keep us on our toes! We love the outdoors, hiking, singing, playing instruments, cooking, and playing board games together. I look forward to meeting your children in the classroom!
