US Grade 2 - 4
This ongoing class/club will feature a different U.S. president each week. Students will learn facts and stories about their lives and events that defined their presidency while coloring pictures related to the lesson. Classes will feature an upbeat presentation with music from the time period as part of the presentation. This class is designed to give young students an introduction into U.S. history. As is the case with all of my classes, objectivity is at the forefront of all of my lesson planning and politics will never be introduced. Multiple viewpoints on events will be presented and a time for classroom discussion will also be part of every lesson for students to ask questions and talk about what they have learned. The perspective of citizens of various races and cultures will be part of the lesson planning process. It is my goal that students will leave class excited to tell others what they have learned and eager to learn more. A coloring worksheet will be available to download 24 hours before each class for students to complete during each lesson.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
