Let's celebrate Women's History Month with this one-time class inspired by Amanda Gorman; the youngest poet to have had the honor of reading her own poetry at Joe Biden’s inauguration as president of the United States on January 20, 2021.
In this one time class, learners will...

Students will learn the words [calças/ saia/ casaco/ blusa/ botas/ fita/máscara] and the colors [vermelho/ amarelo/ azul/ branco/ preto].
Students will also learn how to use this new vocabulary in a sentence frame that will help them describe and share their work with others.

I am an American Portuguese and I have lived, worked and studied alternatively between Portugal and the States my entire life.

I have a licentiate degree in Communication Sciences from Minho University in Portugal and have been certified in English Proficiency by Cambridge University since the very young age of 16.

I am therefore bilingual, with strong native knowledge of both English and European Portuguese, with experience in teaching these as second languages in a creative, natural and play-based way.

I will be using my illustration to create educational, interactive and enjoyable materials that I will share in the classroom!

A one-page handout will be provided.

I will provide your learner with support and feedback throughout the lesson.

40 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
