US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Each week, class material will focus on a different animal. Students will hear facts about the animal, see short clips on the animal behavior and learn about unique characteristics. Class will be held as an “open format” and each student will be encouraged to share what they know or experiences they’ve had with the focus animal. While group discussion is taking place, students will also be working on a coloring sheet of their choice (options will be made available in the classroom and choices...
Students will learn basic animal facts each week, to include where the animal lives, what it eats, certain behaviors and how it looks/ moves. Additional facts will include fun “did you know” information! Students will also learn about appropriate interaction with multi aged peers in the online classroom.
I have 15 years of both public school and online teaching at the elementary level. I love to make learning fun and have a huge love for animals too! I have a happy personality and encourage lots of laughter, helping students to feel at ease in the class.
Students should bring their coloring supplies of choice (crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc) Each week a coloring sheet will be available in the classroom that matches the focus animal of the week. Students can choose one sheet from two or three different options. Please print this out before the start of class, but save coloring for class time! Students may choose to bring drawing paper instead of a pre-made sheet so they can draw while they learn instead.
