In this one time class, students will explore their creativity and get in the spirit for St. Patrick's Day by painting this shamrock rainbow treasure filled painting using simple novice level painting techniques. During this class students will start off by cutting out the shape of a shamrock and painting around the negative space of the painting with a light layer of green paint around the shape of the shamrock. Then, students will use a paint brush with a mix of blue and white to draw clouds on both sides of the shamrock. After the clouds have been drawn students will either trace or free hand paint a small black bucket with small gold coins using black and gold paint. To finish their painting off, students will use q-tips or a small paint brush to paint their colorful rainbow from one cloud to the other. Throughout the duration of the class students will be instructed step-by-step through visual and verbal cues.
