Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to describe the life and processes of artist Bisa Butler. Students will create a piece of artwork made from fabric
Students will most likely continue finishing the piece for homework. If they are stitching they are encouraged to learn and cut during class and stitch afterwards. Photos uploaded into the classroom will be forwarded to the artist
-scissors -fabric glue -8x10 piece of carboard -a 4 markers of different colors -a black and white photocopy of someone important to you (size 8x10) -minumum of 6 pieces of fabric in various patterns (1 piece must be 8x10 for the background)
An informal written assessment will be sent to parents
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
We will be working with scissors so please monitor your child if needed. Students may want to stich their pieces after he class. Please guide and monitor if needed.
