Class Experience

Are you a fan of colored pencil drawing, but aren't sure where to begin?
This introductory course will help younger students practice fundamental colored pencil techniques, and also create a fun miniature drawing during each class!

Each week we'll introduce a new skill, and then use that skill to create a small drawing. Most students will complete their drawing during class, however more some artists may wish to spend a little more time to finish. Practicing these techniques will provide a strong foundation for younger students to build upon as they continue creating beautiful drawings!

What skills will we practice during class? I'm glad you asked!

Week 1: Color saturation & textures--- (project: Five Fingers)
Week 2: Light-to-dark shading--- (project: Twisted Ribbon)
Week 3: Color blending--- (project: Sunset Silhouettes)
Week 4: 3D shading: highlights & shadows--- (project: Jellybean Creatures)
