Class Experience

In this fun and interactive class we will learn about the major bones and function associated with the skeletal system, I will teach students through discussion and slides about the skeletal system as we color in the different bones on an anatomy sheet. I will provide you with an anatomy sheet along with a skeletal system information sheet that can be printed prior to the class. We will learn fun facts along the way and answer questions such as "how many bones make up the human skeleton?" and "what are the largest and smallest bones in our bodies?". There will be opportunities for the student to ask questions and we will play an anatomy trivia quiz game at the end to review what we have learned. There is no prior knowledge necessary of human anatomy for this class.

This is a one time class but can be taken in conjunction with other introduction to human anatomy classes. These classes are similar in structure, can be taken in any order and are listed as:
Color Your Way Through Human Anatomy: The Cardiovascular System
Color Your Way Through Human Anatomy: The Respiratory System
Color Your Way Through Human Anatomy: The Digestive System
Color Your Way Through Human Anatomy: The Muscular System

A self made anatomy book can be created with these above classes. I will also supply a title sheet if multiple classes are taken that lists each system. This can be colored in and placed on top of all the pages so that the student can compile a personal anatomy book that they can keep with their colorful anatomy sheets. The reference sheets can be included as well. Creating the book can be accomplished by hole punching the sheets and placing them in a binder, placed in a clear plastic binding cover or simply stapled/tied together.
